Greetings from Southern Belize and welcome to our website. We 
are Independent Missionaries serving in Belize. We are here under the covering of our home church, Riverside Baptist in Helena, Alabama. While serving here, we are working in partnership with the Baptist Association of Belize, Southern Region.
On the pages of this site, you will find information about the ministries that we are directly involved with as well as events and news about all the Baptist Churches of Southern Belize. Most of all we hope to show you just a little of what God is doing in this area. We hope as you read the information and view the photos that God will stir your heart to join Him in His work in Southern Belize. On this site you will learn more about us (John and Darlene), and more about the various ministries in this area and the mission opportunities that are available. We hope that you or your church ministry leaders will feel led to plan a trip to Southern Belize for your Mission project.
Our Mission: ”Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20
Background: John was ordained as a minister in 2002 through the Baptist church. After serving a church for two years, he enrolled in Seminary to work on his Master of Divinity degree. John also owned his own lawn care business for six years but sold this before moving to Belize. John had the opportunity to do short term missions in Africa before moving to Belize.
Darlene has a BS in Psychology/Sociology and worked for seven years as a Social Worker for the Department of Human Resources in Alabama. At DHR, she worked as a child welfare worker and then later handled the training, approval and licensing of foster and adoptive parents. Darlene is currently enrolled at Liberty University Online and working on a Master of Arts in Human Services.
