Greetings from Southern Belize and welcome to our website. We are Independent Missionaries serving in Belize! We are here under the covering of our home church, Riverside Baptist in Helena, Alabama. While serving here, we are working in partnership with the Baptist Association of Belize, Southern Region.
On the pages of this website, you will find information about the ministries that we are directly involved with as well as events and news about all the Baptist Churches of Southern Belize. Most of all we hope to show you just a little of what God is doing in this area. We hope as you read the information and view the photos that God will stir your heart to join Him in His work in Southern Belize. Follow the links on this page to learn more about us (John and Darlene) and read our personal testimonies, get information about the Baptist Association of Belize, and more about the various ministries in this area and about the mission opportunities that are available. We hope that you or your church ministry leaders will feel led to plan a trip to Southern Belize for your Mission project.
A large part of the ministries that we are involved in here in Belize is to oversee a local Baptist Church camp. We are the Caretakers of the Camp. In order to maintain and develop this Camp, we offer lodging and meals to mission groups working in the area. It is centrally located in the Southern area of Belize, and we offer lodging at a very affordable price.
We are also beginning some "outreach" ministries. We want to help provide for the needs of families living in the more impoverished areas of Southern Belize. Many of these families in need live on Banana and Citrus farms. We also want to help support our local schools by providing resources through the Mission groups who work in the area. We also serve on the Executive Board of the Baptist Associaion of Belize in the Southern Region. In this position, we serve all the Baptist churches in the Stann Creek and Toledo Districts.
