We are the Caretakers for the local Southern Region Baptist Camp Grounds. The camp is owned by the Baptist Association of Belize and is a ministry of the local Baptist Churches in Southern Belize. As Missionaries serving in the Southern Region, we host foreign mission teams who do various ministries in this area. As Caretakers, we live on the property and oversee the operation of the camp.
The Baptist Camp is part of the Baptist Association of Belize which is a Not for profit organization so all “lodging fees” go to operation and maintenance of the property.
Glasgow Missions provides the meal service at the camp and the rental vans. The fees charged for meals covers the cost of food and pays the salary for cooks and those who help clean the camp. Van rental fees are used for the maintenence and repairs to the vans and to help cover the licensing and insurance.
Below you will find the information for lodging prices and rental vans. We have also included links to information that you may find useful as you plan your Mission trip to Belize. (All prices are listed in US dollars.)
Lodging: $10 per person per night.
Meals: $6 per meal (for groups less than 10 people, we must ask that you pay $6 per meal plus pay the salary for your cook, which is $20 US per day).
Teams can pay for lodging only and pay a $25 per week fee to use the kitchen and then cook for yourself. The camp has a fully equipped kitchen.
Vans: We have one 15 passenger van with AC and one 12 passenger van with AC. Both vans are available for rent at the rate of $45 per day. We also have an enclosed trailer that we use for hauling luggage.
